I am excited to present on Leveraging AI for Deeper Inquiry in the context of a Growth Mindset in Language Education as part of a group presentation ( Lynsey Mori & Erin Noxon) at the Japan Association for Language Teachers (JALT) 2023 Conference; exploring the benefits of providing just-in-time AI feedback using the S.M.I.L.E platform (Stanford Mobile Inquiry-based Learning Environment), which models intelligence augmentation by encouraging higher-order questioning based on Bloom’s taxonomy. #JALT2023 #AIinEducation #InquiryBasedLearning #EdTech #FutureOfLearning Thank you Paul Kim and Curtis Bonk for speaking with my IU class!

Just had an amazing experience attending a tech meetup focused on running Large Language Models (LLMs) on local computers. It was an enlightening introduction, providing both foundational knowledge and a glimpse into the potential of these powerful tools. The best part was connecting with fellow tech enthusiasts who are working on some fascinating projects. I'm hoping to reconnect with them for mutual support.Looking forward to building upon this knowledge and seeing where it takes me next!#TechMeetup #LargeLanguageModels #AI #Networking #ContinuousLearning" #LLM

I just listened to this video, giving 8 practical ideas on how to use AI to learn languages. The only comment I would add to it, I think if you are trying to learn a lesser used or small language, AI may not be so accurate. Let me give you an example, I often translate between English and Hungarian, and recently I started engaging AI to do the prep work for me so I "only " have to do the corrections. I found that much more needs to be corrected in Hungarian than in English. But regardless, I got a few great ideas from this video:https://lnkd.in/gc5xmpbt
