  1. Freightliner Business Class M2 Fault Codes List - Bulkhead Module | Truckmanualshub.com (2)Don 14/02/2021

Hi, my name is Don, and I have a frustrating problem. (2006 Thomas Freightliner, 6.7L Cummins, Allison 2000 Transmission) will not crank. Noticed a “Range Inhibit” message illuminated on the upper left corner of the IP. Put a scanner on it, and retrieved three Active codes (Bulkhead Module – SID 37 FMI 2 – Missing Transmission CAN message – Data erratic, intermittent, or incorrect. Bulkhead Module – SPN 2003 FMI 19 – Missing Transmission CAN message – Received network data in error. Engine – 241 FMI N/A – Wheel-based vehicle speed – data erratic, or incorrect. The ECM lost the vehicle speed signal). I’ve tested every fuse, and relay. Inspected all wire harnesses, connections. Checked voltage on ignition wires to the bulkhead, and ohms on pins C & D on the bus interface connection. Swopped TCM, Bulkhead module, ignition switch, and starter, but no change.

Did you figure issue out? Allison Transmissions World Headquarters in Indianapolis have great engineers who may be able to lead you through troubleshooting tree. Their 2000 series manuals are a great help.

It reads as though you tried basic approaches. Throwing parts at these types of issues are simply too expensive. Plus, switching out TCM’s can also ruin a good one if there’s circuit to circuit shorts in wiring harnesses.

Hope you had technical assistance …

I have a 2015 m2 106 no active faults. 11.9 volts on the dash. When turning the key on I have power but get a long warning horn…instrument cluster will reset everything looks fine, but will not crank or start. Haven’t found a bad fuse and tried jumping it, but still nothing.
