The bachelor's degree program in International Business and Technology is designed for 7 semesters of standard study time and can be divided into three components:
- semester 1-2: Foundation courses (business, languages, mathematics, physics)
During the first two semesters, you will take courses in International Business, all of which are taught in English. German native speakers take English and choose Spanish or French. Foreign students take German and English. You will also study mathematics, physics, computer science and law. Only Physics is taught in German.
In the second semester, you will receive important information about the technical specialization and need to choose one specialization for the further semesters. - semester 3-5: subjects of your technical specialization (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Natural Sciences) and international business administration/economics.
- semester 6-7: advanced special electives in business and/or your technical specialization (can also be done abroad), internship (can also be done abroad) and bachelor thesis.
Note: It usually takes IBT students more than 7 semesters to complete the program
In the IBT Plus study option you study 8 semesters.
Semesters 1-5 are identical.
Semester 6: Internship abroad
Semester 7: Study abroad
Semester 8: Technical project work, elective module, bachelor thesis
