Ever wondered what are the Extra Traits in TFT? Talk about Prismatic Traits – the ultimate turn of the battle power-ups. It’s like hitting the jackpot on a rare car!
What Are Traits In TFT?
Traits are like your team’s superpowers in TFT. Grouping similar champs together grants them special abilities such as more damage, faster attacks or more protection.
These powers can be fairly basic or extremely strong depending on the Trait and number of champs you have. You can upgrade your Traits by adding more champs to your team, and the rarest and best ones are Prismatic. We’re going to dive into those!
What are Prismatic Traits In TFT?
For any TFT player, the ultimate goal is Prismatic Traits. They’re like the rarest, shiniest Pokemon card you could ever pull. You need tons of resources and some serious luck to score one.
When you do finally get a Prismatic Trait, man, does it change everything. Double that power, or even more! That sparkling diamond icon next to your Trait will tell you you’ve hit the jackpot.
How to Get Prismatic Traits?
It isn’t as easy as picking up a bunch of champs to obtain a Prismatic Trait. And you often need special items or really rare circ*mstances to make it happen.
For example, to get the ultimate Striker Trait you need to combine six Strikers but in the shops you can only buy five. You’ll need something special to make that sixth Striker.
Other past TFT sets had different rules, such as a super expensive champ triggering a Prismatic Trait. As you can see these things are not cheap! Now for some more achievable Prismatic Traits.
Unlocking the Easy Mode: Rare Prismatic Traits in TFT
- Yordle-Lord: The Easy Button Or maybe there is a Prismatic Trait that isn’t so hard to find. It was in Sets 6 and 6.5 and is called Yordle-Lord. But people really did not like how easy it was to activate! Basically, you just need to gather all the little Yordle champs and poof, you get a super strong Yordle named Veigar. No gimmicks, no tricks – just gather them all!
- 5 Twin Shots: Your next best bet is the Prismatic Twin Shot Trait, after Yordle-Lord. Four Twin Shot champs can be picked up from the shop, but to unlock that fifth one and get the super-powered version you need an Emblem. It’s harder than Yordles, but doable if you get lucky.
- 4 Adepts: You might think it’s easier to get four Adepts together than five Twin Shots, but beware! Usually you need a super strong champ like Yone to complete the set. That is often difficult to come by. But hey, you never know, maybe you catch Yone early enough and the Adepts Prismatic Trait becomes a little more doable.
- 5 Hunters: The simplest Prismatic Trait to attain is Hunters. You only need five units compared to six normally and they are cheaper so they’re easier to find early on. But you still need a special item to unlock the full Prismatic level. Hunters require fewer units but are incredibly powerful and deal a lot of damage.
- 6 Fortune: Fortune is another relatively simple Prismatic Trait to obtain. Unlike many other Traits, Fortune units tend to be fairly inexpensive, making the set easier to complete. It also provides the bonus of extra gold production. While you still need a lucky Emblem drop to unlock the Prismatic level, Fortune is certainly a worthy candidate for those looking for a powerful yet accessible Prismatic Trait.
- 6 Glacials: Another relatively easy Trait to complete is Glacials. The champs tend to be fairly inexpensive so you usually can score them early in the game. Olaf is the only one really pricey, but even he isn’t the hardest to come by. As with most Prismatic Traits, you’ll need that special Emblem item to unleash the full Glacial power.
Conclusion
So, you want to chase that Prismatic dream, huh? While unquestionably powerful, these supercharged Traits aren’t exactly candy. Most require a full set of units and a lucky Emblem drop. While some (Yordles, Hunters, Fortune, Glacials etc) provide a slightly less arduous road to Prismatic glory due to lower unit costs, luck is still the major factor.
It’s a wild chase, but prepare for some serious challenges. If you can pull off a Prismatic Trait, then you are a TFT champion for sure. Good luck in your quest for supreme power!
